Douglas Elliman
At New Valley Ventures, Dan invests strategically in emerging proptech
companies that align with the network of sister-companies within Douglas
Elliman, Inc., including the luxury real estate brokerage itself. The portfolio of
proptech ûrms now represents everything from agent software to artiûcial
intelligence to the electric vehicle space. Dan has been in a corporate venture
capital role for over 9 years, after many more years in the start-up and
technology world. Dan is based in Miami, Florida where New Valley Ventures
operates out of Douglas Elliman Inc9s headquarters.

Northspyre
William Sankey is a former New York City real estate developer who founded
Northspyre after spending years overseeing projects for prominent ûrms such
as Madison Realty Capital, Macklowe Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle. It
was during his time as project manager that William grappled with the
inefûcient, outdated methods utilized across the industry to manage billions in
capital for transformative, complex real estate developments. Having studied
architecture at Yale University and urban planning and real estate development
at Harvard University, William has always had an interest in the way we build
our cities, whether it was through design or innovative technologies. With his
unique background, William noticed that the commercial real estate sector
was falling far behind other high-skilled industries and needed to catch up. He
envisioned software tailor-made for owners, developers and project
management ûrms that harnessed the power of data to help professionals
make faster, more informed decisions. This was the very start of Northspyre,
which took shape after William completed his Fullstack Development
Nanodegree at Udacity and partnered with Co-founder and tech veteran, Mark
McCorkle, to develop the ûrst prototype. Northspyre formally launched in
2017, raised a $7.5 million Series A round in May 2020 and most recently,
raised a $25 Million Series B round in February 2022. When he isn9t leading his
team at Northspyre, William enjoys playing the piano, cheering on the New
York Knicks, indulging in a very good slice of pizza and traveling out of Atlanta
with his wife, Susan.
