Nuveen
Mikal is the Director of Proptech and Innovation at Nuveen, where he focuses
on proptech investments and innovation initiatives across Nuveen Real Estate.
Prior to joining Nuveen in 2022, Mikal was an investor at DBL Partners, a
leading impact focused venture capital ûrm based in San Francisco, California.
Prior to joining DBL Partners, Mikal was a strategic advisor to Governor Ned
Lamont of Connecticut where he worked on climate initiatives, broadband
policy, and COVID response. Additionally, Mikal has previous experience with
Shell Oil Company. Mikal graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance from Georgia
Southern University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. His thought
leadership on the intersection of real estate and climate has been featured by
venture capital ûrm, Fifth Wall, and Connected Real Estate Magazine.

Brian is a two-time Founder and CEO with expertise leading growth-stage
data analytics and technology companies. Brian is the CEO & Founder of
Markerr, a data analytics company serving institutional investors, owners and
operators of commercial real estate. Markerr investors include RET Ventures
and Pretium. In addition to Markerr, Brian frequently invests and advises
startup companies in data, AI and SaaS. Brian was previously Cofounder &
CEO of 7Park Data, founded in 2012 in NYC. 7Park was acquired by Vista
Equity Partners and Apptio in January 2021. Brian has held senior leadership
roles at MasterCard, Majestic Research, and HyperFeed Technologies. His
career began at BDO Seidman during which he earned his CPA designation.

Niles Xi9an Lichtenstein is the co-founder and CEO of Nestment, a platform
that aims to democratize homebuying by enabling affordability strategies
through house hacking models. After attending Harvard, Niles went on to
founding several startups in the mobile technology space and B2B Saas
space. During this time, he grew passionate about helping friends and family,
many of who were ûrst-time homeowners, purchase multi-family and
investment properties. As Niles saw the changing demographic and economic
trends for his Millennial peers, he realized new paths of homeownership had to
be created. Thus, Nestment was born. In addition to its innovative platform,
Nestment is driving structural change by collaborating with policymakers and
government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs). By bridging the gap between
startups and government, Nestment is working to ensure that its solutions not
only meet the needs of modern homebuyers but also create lasting impact on
a broader scale. Nestment is proud to be funded by a community of proptech,

Caruso
Carolyn Liikala is a seasoned leader in corporate strategy, innovation, and
venture capital. As VP of Corporate Strategy and Development at Caruso, she
oversees strategic projects, innovation initiatives, and digital transformation
efforts. Her role is pivotal in driving Caruso towards long-term goals,
embracing digital advancements, and uncovering new growth opportunities.
Previously, she was a Partner at Silicon Foundry (acquired by AT Kearney),
where she led corporate venture capital and innovation projects for Fortune
500 companies such as Estee Lauder Companies, British Petroleum, Nestle,
Target, BASF, Qualcomm, Belgium Post, and Royal Bank of Scotland. She
played a key role in launching Estee Lauder9s Innovation Lab, British
Petroleum9s corporate venture capital arm, and facilitated over 50 pilot
projects, 20 investments and 4 acquisitions between startups and her clients.
